By accessing or purchasing data from NorthTick ("we", "us", "our"), you ("the Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not purchase or use our data products.
NorthTick provides Canadian financial market data packages in Apache Parquet format, including but not limited to daily OHLCV price data, intraday minute-level price data, ticker lists, and best-effort sector metadata.
Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-user license to use the purchased data for:

You may publish derived analyses, charts, reports, or research findings based on the data, provided you do not include the raw underlying data in a form that could substitute for the original product.
The data is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure data quality — including split adjustment and validation checks — we do not guarantee:
NorthTick is a data provider, not a financial advisor. Our data products do not constitute investment advice, trading recommendations, or solicitation to buy or sell any securities. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Past data does not guarantee future results.
Data products are delivered electronically as downloadable files. Due to the digital nature of the product, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds after download. If you experience technical issues with your download, contact us and we will work to resolve the problem.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NorthTick shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or trading losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific data product giving rise to the claim.
We reserve the right to terminate your license and access if you violate these Terms of Service, particularly the redistribution and resale restrictions in Section 4.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were most recently revised. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
